How decision days work

Opinions are released at 10 a.m. Eastern on scheduled decision days, most often Tuesdays and Wednesdays late in the term. The Court never announces in advance which cases will be decided on a given day, only that opinions are expected.

Nearly all argued cases are decided by the end of the term in late June or early July; the busiest decision weeks are in June.
